Setting accelerator for concrete and mortars

Technical Information

Concreting guidance

The standard rules of good concreting practice concerning production and placing shall be followed. Laboratory trials shall be carried out before hand, especially when suing a new mix design or producing new concrete components. Fresh concrete shall be cured according to recognised techniques and applied as early as possible.

DISPENSING

SikaRapid®-2 KE is added to the guaging water or added simultaneously with the guaging water into the concrete mixer. It is also possible to add SikaRapid®-2 KE to the basic concrete carried in a transit mixer at the place of discharge. In this case, an additional mixing time of 1 minute per m3 of concrete must be observed. The concrete shall be checked for uniform consistency prior to discharge from a transit mixer
