Project Requirements

For the project’s roofing component, Sika was approachedby the project design team with two requirements. Firstly, the specification for the roofing membrane had to be ‘LEED’accredited, and Sika has a range of products that meet thiscriteria. Secondly, the project would have to be designed andbuilt through the utilization of BIM, where all roofing detailshad to be in BIM format.

Sika Solutions

Sika was able to satisfy both requirements with their Sarnafil®S 327-18 EL membrane in solar reflective ‘Traffic White’ color. This membrane satisfied the ‘LEED’ requirement with a solarreflective index over 78. The architect was able to easily downloadthe BIM objects from the local BIM library.
